Born in France, Diane Barthélemy has lived in New York since 2014 and Paris since 2022. Dy’s work blends vibrant primary colors, abstract figures, and symbols creating immersive environments where reality fades into perception.
Through painting installations, photography and crafted garments, Dy invites the viewer into a multidimensional exploration of color, form, and space.
In 2022, Dy founded REGARDE, a brand focused on sustainability and artistery. Each collection -made from ethical fabrics, is infused with her signature brushstrokes, blending art and fashion in unique wearable designs.
In 2023, REGARDE debuted a collection inspired by Saint Barthélemy’s rich biodiversity. Pieces like the Jumper Imbricata and Dress Haemulidae feature colors drawn from the island’s underwater ecosystems, paying tribute to the sea’s vibrant life.
Dy’s SOLARGATE project, which began in 2021, reimagines remnants of the Atlantic Wall by transforming bunkers into sanctuaries of renewal. Enveloped in bold primary colors, these sites mark by trauma now embody hope and resilience.
This project -which primary goal is to create places of light, happened in 2023 at Keremma Dunes in Britanny and in 2024 at Horizon Dunes in Cap Ferret.
Through her work, Dy invites us to consider the space we inhabit and the way we express our identity.
